Privacy Policy

When you create a Kidividi account, we collect:

• Name: to personalize your account.
• Email address and/or phone number: for account creation, login, and important notifications.
• Password: stored using industry-standard hashing; we never store passwords in plain text.
• Account settings: your preferences, screen time rules, and app configuration.

When you add a child profile, we collect only what is necessary to personalize the experience and generate reports:

• Child's name or nickname: as entered by the parent. We recommend using a nickname rather than a full legal name, though this is the parent's choice.
• Age or age range: used to help you filter and select age-appropriate videos.
• Avatar/profile customization: chosen by the parent.

We do not require and do not collect a child's exact date of birth, school, address, phone number, email address, or any government identifier. We do not collect photographs of the child unless a parent voluntarily uploads one as a profile picture, which is entirely optional.

Kidividi's core function is built on parent-approved content. We collect and store:

• Videos added to a child's approved feed: the specific YouTube videos a parent selects.
• Video metadata: titles, thumbnails, channel names, duration, and category/subject tags.
• Screen time settings: daily limits configured per child profile.

To power the analytics and reports available to parents, the App records activity that occurs within a child's approved profile. This includes:

• Watch time: how long a child watches, per session, per day, and per video.
• Videos watched, skipped, or replayed: which approved videos were opened, abandoned early, completed, or rewatched.
• Usage timing: time of day and frequency of app use.
• Comprehension check (MCQ) responses: which questions were answered, whether the answer was correct, and the timestamp in the video the question relates to.
• Attention indicators: playback behavior at specific points in a video (such as skipping, pausing, or rewinding), used to generate the plain-language attention report described in Section 5.

All of this activity data is tied to the child's profile within the parent's account. It is never used to build a public profile of the child, is never linked to the child's identity outside the app, and is never shared with advertisers.

• Device type, operating system, and app version.
• IP address (for security and fraud prevention).
• Crash logs and diagnostic data, to fix bugs and keep the App stable.

• Operate the parent-approval workflow for videos.
• Enforce screen time limits and pause playback once a limit is reached.
• Sync approved content and settings across the parent's devices.
• Generate comprehension questions and score responses (see Section 5).

• Watch time summaries, by day, week, and video category.
• Content preference patterns (e.g. subjects a child gravitates toward or avoids).
• Comprehension summaries from MCQ responses, where enabled.
• Plain-language attention observations, where enabled (see Section 5).

• Authenticate your account and prevent unauthorized access.
• Send service-related communications (approval reminders, limit alerts, account notices).
• Respond to support requests.

• Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage trends to improve app features and content classification accuracy.
• Fix bugs and improve performance.

• A record of which questions were answered correctly or incorrectly, and at what point in the video the related content appeared.
• A plain-language, descriptive report for parents — for example, noting that a child completed a video but appeared to miss content around a particular point.

This feature is not a test, IQ measure, or "smartness" score, and Kidividi does not generate or display any numeric score, rank, or grade for a child. We do not make claims about a child's cognitive ability or intelligence. The report is intended purely as an observational aid — similar to a note a parent might make themselves while watching alongside their child — to help parents understand engagement with specific content.

• This feature can be turned off at any time from account settings.
• Parents can view, and can request deletion of, all comprehension and attention data associated with a child's profile.

We share limited data with trusted providers who help us operate Kidividi, bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Analytics providers, who receive only aggregated or de-identified data.
• Crash/error monitoring providers, who receive technical diagnostic data only, with identifiers stripped where possible.

Kidividi's content library is drawn from YouTube. When a video is played within the App, playback occurs through YouTube's platform or APIs, and Google/YouTube's own privacy policy and terms govern their handling of any data collected during playback. We do not control, and are not responsible for, YouTube's own data practices. We encourage parents to review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Kidividi does not currently run its own advertising. Any advertisements a child may encounter during video playback are served by YouTube itself, as part of the standard YouTube video experience, and are governed by YouTube/Google's own advertising and privacy policies. If in the future we introduce advertising on Kidividi-owned screens, we will update this Policy in advance and will not use behavioral advertising targeted at children.

We may disclose information where required to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or valid request from a government authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Kidividi, our users, or the public.

If Kidividi or JOKOVA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users by email before any such transfer takes effect.

Account creation requires an adult to sign up using their own email address or phone number. By creating a child profile, the account holder represents that they are the parent or legal guardian of that child and consents to this Policy on the child's behalf, in accordance with the DPDP Act's requirement of verifiable parental consent, and consistent with COPPA's guidance on accepting consent from an account holder who has passed standard identity/age verification at sign-up.

• Children cannot create their own account.
• Children cannot enter personal information.
• Children cannot communicate with other users; Kidividi has no chat, comment, or social feature.
• Children cannot make purchases within the App.
• Children cannot access content outside what a parent has approved.

In line with the DPDP Act's specific restriction on behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising directed at children, we do not track children across apps or websites, do not build advertising profiles of children, and do not permit targeted advertising to child profiles on Kidividi-owned surfaces.

We collect only what is needed to run the approval, screen-time, and reporting features described above. We do not request a child's exact birthdate, address, school, or contact details.

Parents can, at any time, from within the App or by contacting us:

• View all data associated with a child's profile.
• Correct inaccurate profile information.
• Delete a child's profile and associated activity data.
• Withdraw consent, which will result in deletion of the associated child profile and data.
